As you probably already know, it’s not always easy to find accommodation that is happy to accept your pets, but with our dog-friendly motorhome hire you can take your beloved four-legged friend with you on your travels. Keeping your dog happy in the motorhome

You may be excited about finally bringing your four-legged friend along for your adventure, but it’s important to remember that they might not be quite as keen for the change. This is especially true if your dog is nervous or has any special needs.

This doesn’t mean you can’t travel together, but you will need to be extra prepared to bring your dog along on your motorhome holiday adventure.

Dog Bed

Dogs like familiar smells, so it’s always a good idea to bring their usual bed along for the trip so they feel more at home.

Travel Harness

Just like in a car, your pet must be properly restrained whilst you are driving, for both you and your pet’s safety. We recommend using a seatbelt harness or, for smaller pets, a cage that can be secured in the motorhome.

Collar & Leads

Make sure that the lead, snap and collar are in good condition and won’t break if your dog suddenly lunges. It’s always good to bring spares along in case one is broken or lost

Food

It’s safe to say you might not be your dog’s best-friend for long if you forget this crucial item for them

Bowls

A necessity for the previously listed item and also to keep your dog hydrated and healthy. For avoiding mess, we think a non-spill dog bowl is quite a good investment for your travels, lest you suffer wet socks when you inevitably step in that little puddle of water.

Poop Bags

We hope all our hirers always follow the campsite rule: leave the space better than you found it. That goes for cleaning up after your pets too, so make sure to have a good stock of dog waste bags handy, wherever you go.

Additional Information

To cover the cost of the extra deep clean that will be carried out on the vehicle once you have returned it, we do charge an additional £55 for our dog-friendly motorhomes. This is to ensure it is in the best possible condition for the next customer.

The following terms and conditions also apply, in addition to our regular T&C’s:

No more than two dogs per motorhome
Please keep pets off of the soft furnishings
Please do not leave the dog(s) unattended in the motorhome
Please ensure all pets are secured during transit, as is legally required
